Starjun was in front of the mirror in his room, dressing in his familiar black uniform.
Finally, his curiosity got the better of him and he went to her room.
“What’s the noise about?”
The copper eyes became dull again. He should have known this would happen.
"So…now this is all my fault, right?"
"Oh, look what you did, Lily. You brought your Uncle into this," he chided. "You can’t wish it’s his fault. It’s not. That’s selfish… That’s right. Who did this to you? No one but yourself…. You’re your own burden and at the same time, you’re everyone else’s burden as well! What a pain you are, Lylwen…. Now, apologize to Starjun and say your line."
"I-I’m sorry," she rasped as if someone had pushed a button on a remote and she was programmed to do so. "It’s not your fault. You didn’t do anything wrong."
'She wishes this was my fault?' Starjun put those words to the back of his brain. He couldn't honestly know what they meant, could he?
His brow furrowed, “Lily, what’s going on here?”
The princess didn’t seem to hear him.
"I’m just playing with her. She gave me an opportunity to bend and break her and I took it," the Hero replied casually. "What a foolish little thing…."
"So it is because of me." His shoulders slumped, "Oh no…"
"No, please, Starjun!" She nearly screamed. "It’s not your fault! It’s all mine, it’s always been mine."
He gave her a weary look, sighed and looked back at Aslude, “Get out. Get out or I’ll tell.”
"Tell who? Sion can’t do anything, nor you or Byakuya. Anyone really." He shrugged.
"Stellan Carlyle." It was a simple answer yet Starjun was pretty sure it would have some effect.
His face fell. “Shit….. Fine….” Aslude kissed the crown of the little girl’s head. “You win this time, little failure.”
"Thought you’d see it my way." He folded his arms, "Get out."
"Bye bye~" He waved and in a blink was gone.
Lily whimpered, falling forward, forehead colliding with the wall.
